Hearing in the Commission for Science, Education and Culture

"Data policy must therefore not only address the risks of misusing personal data, but also the risks of not using personal and other data to tackle our most pressing economic and social challenges." This was the appeal made by the Swiss Data Alliance to the members of the Committee for Science, Education and Culture of the Council of States (WBK-S) on June 20, 2022.

At the invitation of Councillor of States Benedikt Würth (CVP/SG), Chairman of the Commission, she was invited to a hearing on the status of data policy in Switzerland. The Swiss Competence Center for Social Sciences FORS and Interpharma, the association of research-based pharmaceutical companies in Switzerland, were also present. André Golliez, President of the Swiss Data Alliance, spoke on behalf of the latter.
